HealthBridge is a not-for-profit health information exchange serving Greater Cincinnati and surrounding areas. Founded in 1997, HealthBridge is one of the nation's largest, most advanced and most financially successful community health information exchanges.

Our mission is to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare in our community. To do this we serve as a trusted third party working with all participating healthcare stakeholders to facilitate creation of an integrated and interoperable community healthcare system.

 QUICK FACTS

  • HealthBridge provides connectivity for 29 hospitals, more than 4400 physician users, 17 local health departments,  dozens of physician offices and clinics, as well as nursing homes, independent labs, radiology centers and others in our healthcare community.
  • Through our clinical messaging system, we deliver over 2.4 million results (laboratory, radiology, transcription and ADT) to more than 4,400 physicians EACH MONTH.
  • HealthBridge represents nearly 95% of the hospital sector activity in the Cincinnati region.

HealthBridge provides access to over 60 hospital based critical care systems including radiology images, fetal heart monitoring, hospital-based electronic medical records and chart completion, among others. Additionally, we operate the largest community-based secure clinical messaging system in the country. We function as a complete outsourced solution of results reporting for our hospitals and ancillary facilities.

HealthBridge also serves as a partner to two other health information exchange organizations:

  • HealthLINC in Bloomington, IN, and
  • Collaborating Communities Health Information Exchange (CCHIE) in Springfield, OH.
